Current Volunteer Opportunities

  • Data Base Updates - We require data entry and updating for our electronic files.
  • Golf Challenge Event Planners - Work on the 2011 Golf Challenge begins in September of 2010. We welcome your assistance.
  • Marketing and Promotion Work - Many of our funds are open for donation but need to be be marketed and promoted to the right audience. You could design specific materials for the foundation to use or be a part of the team asking for the gift. We need your help to get the word out about the community foundation difference!
  • Press Binder updates- Love to scrapbook? This could be the opportunity to learn about your community foundation and help us write our story.
  • Day of Celebration Committee - November 13th, 2010 is our Annual Day of Celebration as we take the time celebrate philanthropy in our community.
  • Tastes of the World Committee- Want to travel the World? Can't afford the air fare? This may be a way for you to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of many different countries and help your community foundation.
  • Filing and general office work
Board Members

Our continued success depends on the personal commitment and active involvement of a group of 12 individuals, who embrace the privilege to serve and the responsibility to lead as members of the Foundation Board. Board members are expected to be zealous advocates on our behalf, enthusiastic communicators of our mission and vision, and to play an integral role in our fund development, fundraising activities and community leadership initiatives.

Under the terms the legislation that created the Foundation, an external nominating committee reviews applications and makes the final appointment. The Act (Bill Pr 139) further specifies that board terms are to be three years and that a number of board positions become available annually. Further information on the opportunity is available from the Foundation office.
